Ross Carey was born, raised, and lives in County Cork, Ireland. He attended University College Cork and lives in Douglas. He has worked with children most of his life and was inspired by their joy and optimism to work in children’s literature. Though he has been writing since he himself was a child, The Shark Detective is his first published book.

Snuggle up with the smallies in your life and enjoy this book
What an absolute joy it was to read Ross Carey's first published book. Not only did my grandchild love it I also loved the story. The illustrations were amazing. I can't wait for the next one Ross. Anyone looking for a special gift for a child this Christmas, look no further than The Shark Detective.
