Ferial Esmaeeli Yazdi was born and raised in Mashhad; the second largest city in Iran, in March 1981.

She got her Master’s Degree in sociology in 2010 after which she beganteaching it at Payame Noor University for about a decade. Then, she devoted all her time to writing books.

She got married at the age of twenty-two and has two children now.
