I bought a copy of this beautiful little book for a friend's daughter. Aimed at children, but with something for the adults reading with them to ponder, it is filled with colourful pictures which Renana loved. It is a perfect bedtime story, so positive and heartwarming. I would thoroughly recommend 'The Gift' as an engaging and enjoyable read and a great gift for any child. I really hope Lizzie Jane shares more of her lovely stories!

The gift is a wonderful book. Lizzie has such great ideas and imagination. My children and I loved this heartwarming story. We were not disappointed. We can’t wait for her second book and to wow us again. Highly recommend.

The Gift is a wonderful read, that I enjoyed immensely. I read it a few times myself before I read it out loud to my grandchildren and they absolutely loved it and were enthralled with Esther and sat there waiting patiently to hear what happened next!
Lizzie Jayne managed to capture love, innocence, and childhood in one book and I can’t wait for the next one!
The illustrations are so beautiful too and capture the essence of the whole story! The Gift is surely a gift!!

From the beginning of this book all the way to the end my son who is 3 was completely intranced. He would often say the gift and role play giving us the gift from his pocket. I would have to say this book is absolutely amazing. It's written beautifully and as his favourite book we still read this at least once a week. Thank you lizzie for such a superb book which also shines through your kind and beautiful personality.

I love the way the author weaves his story with how the ‘gift’ of his son and his faith in God has enabled him to fulfil His dream. This is truly an inspiring story giving insight into the challenges and heartache that parents experience when they have a child with special needs. But you can’t help but be encouraged when you discover how God can work in all things for our good. A book that is real, acknowledges the pain and struggles, yet invites us to find hope and inspiration. Regardless of who you are and the challenges you face, you were created for purpose!

A very heartbreaking and insightful book. The author takes us along on the journey, he and his wife took since the birth of their son Kupa (the gift) up to this date. He talks about their thoughts and their feelings, about how everyday life is with a child with disability. This book, though, has also a deep spiritual essence since the author makes explicitly clear from the early beginning that it was his God and his faith that guided him through this difficult and challenging yet exciting journey. As far as I am concerned, this is a book about role models and heroes (the author and his wife, even if I don't think they know it) who not only made it through, but also used the knowledge they gained from raising their son and the author's expertise in SEN to help others through the special school they established and manage.
