On the island of Madagascar, Blaze the chameleon is the most colourful of all the animals. But Blaze has one flaw: he’s quite mischievous, which makes it hard for him to make friends. One day his colours have vanished and it’s up to him to get the other animals on the island to help him find them! Will he succeed?

Hafdis Hafsteins was born in 1992, in Iceland, and lives in Kópavogur. Growing up on a farm made Hafdis fascinated with animals, and this interest led her to become a veterinary assistant. In her first book, The Chameleon Which Lost Its Colour, Hafdis combines her passion for children’s literature and love for animals.

A very charming story about regretting doing wrong, trying to find forgiveness, about friendship and kindness. Well planned and funny to read. The pictures are awesome and really take the story to another level. I strongly recommend this book to everyone who needs kindness and beauty in their lives. If you have a child to share it with it’s even better!
