Very lovely! My daughter loved it and so did I.
This is such a sweet book, based on a true story and written in rhyming verse. Fantastic for little ones, with big illustrations and a great message to the storyline as well. Would highly recommend!
What a charming little book that you’ll really enjoy reading to your children who will love the enchanting real-life story of Tatty Duck. It’s a simple tale told in beautiful verse that children of all ages will want you to read over and over again.
This is a wonderful story I love the rhyming and the fact that it’s true makes it even more enjoyable. My 7-year-old nephew loves it.
Tatty Duck is a fantastic book.
Really well versed and so cleverly written.
You really want to find out what happens next. Looking forward to the next one.
Great illustrations.
I would highly recommend it to anyone. The fact that it’s a true story makes it even more special.
Well done Juliet.
Absolutely loved this. Bought Tatty Duck for my young kids and they couldn’t get enough of it. They fell in love with Tatty and have been out at our local river looking out for ducks!
love this story we really enjoy it with great-nephews.
So enjoyed this delightful and heartwarming true story. So perfect for all godchildren! When is it out on audible?
I bought this book as a gift for my friend’s baby. It’s a sweet story, all in rhyme. The fact it’s true makes it all the more lovely.
If you want to buy a great children’s book for a true rhyming tale, then just take a look at what would be, my clear first pick of poor Tatty Duck, a lost orphaned chick who was saved through the kindness, near the old Itchen river by a family who committed, all care to deliver and so she did grow, with a bent beak on her face to return to her real, breeding home place and that is kind of the story in brief of salvage so charming, and the family’s relief As triumphant she paddles, with new feathered friends, and that is where this nice story ends. But who is it for? This book of the year, a delightful wee rhyme, full of hope and real cheer, well children perhaps, aged three, nine or four, Or seven maybe, or even some more, well I’ve bought a copy, for my big sister although she’s just past her ‘sixty’, and she’ll love it I know.
This book is beautifully written and carries a strong message for everyday life. The prose is easy to read and will be enjoyed by readers both young and old. I look forward to the sequel!
We’re ‘quackers’ about this charming book and read it again and again!
Such a sweet, heartwarming tale beautifully written in verse, so it's lovely to read to little ones - captured the interest of my great-nephew twins who normally don't sit still for a moment! They loved the photographs too really brought the story to life. Can't wait for the next adventure for Tatty Duck!
A charming tale, all the better for the fact that it is true.
There are photographs showing the episodes described in the story.
What a cute read! My daughter loved this book. I thought bought it for her for Christmas as we live near the area and I thought it was so lovely to have a true story about this little duckling near us to keep, but I also loved how it tells such an important story for kids to learn - about how being different is ok and they should be proud of that. My daughter suffers from a condition that means she stands out physically from her peers, which is starting to become difficult for her at school...as I knew it would. So it is great to have found a book that I hope will help her a little bit. I'll definitely lookout for more from this author :)
