This book is many things but firstly it is heartfelt. It is about a father, a human observing life in every way it presents, through his personal struggles and the struggles of the world. The many big questions posed are underlined by the hope that the world can be a better place for his young daughter for whom this book is titled and all the children of the world and the future. Many books will be written about this world, its challenges, and its complexities. Ottilie Rose attempts to wade through all that through poetry such that through the artistic exploration of the human condition we might discover something more beautiful about us.

RT Chiwuta has always been intrigued by life’s deeper questions and its inherent meaning. In his pursuit of understanding, he turned to writing and published his first book, The Dichotic Dilemma, with the hope of making the world a better place through his words. His new title, Ottilie Rose: A Collection of Poems: An Observation and Appreciation of Life is a continuation of that. He hopes his words can touch, move and inspire.

I bought this book on Amazon but for some reason couldn’t upload my review- so I’m leaving my thoughts here.

A Truly reflective and thought provoking piece of writing.
My wife who has Parkinson’s asked if I could read it aloud to her.
By the time we got past the introduction and the first poem, we had to reach for another pack of tissues as we found it very touching and very emotional. It had a real impact on us straight away.
    Very beautifully written and heartfelt.
