Lacey and Lloyd Jordan begin a journey no young person should have to embark upon. Their father is serving a ten-year prison term, their mother abandons them.

By the time Lacey is out of foster care, she has been in six foster homes. She has three foster siblings who are missing under mysterious circumstances, each at different times.

She has lost contact with her brother. He ran away from their foster home to search for the missing teens. No one has heard from him since.

A story of perseverance, mystery and suspense, this tale has more twists and turns than a rushing mountain stream.

Judith worked as a legal secretary for many years before she was employed by the Provincial Court of Alberta. Writing, however, was always her dream. So when she retired after 28 years in Provincial Court, she immediately began to write her first book.

Page-Turner descriptions of people, places and events were vivid, so it was like you were there. A terrific read and I can't wait for the next part of the story.

For a novice writer, this novel exceeded my expectations for what a dramatic fictional suspense novel would entail. The characters and setting were portrayed in great detail. You felt as though you were there with them, experiencing their nerves, excitement, pain and joy. It was a heart-wrenching novel with a plot twist that wasn't very predictable. I cannot wait for the next novel to come out so I can finally get closure to the cliffhanger ending.

If I had any constructive criticism it would be some editing mistakes that could have used some fine tuning but the novel itself was engaging from beginning to end.

I very much enjoyed reading this book and as I ended a chapter just had to find out what would happen next. I had worked in downtown Vancouver when I was young so interesting so interesting to see were some of the stories took place. Although when I was in Vancouver East side much different than it is now. Well done for your first book!

This book will draw you in from the beginning and then hold you. You will wrestle with your emotions. It creates a demand to turn pages and continue reading. Your interpretation of the storyline will continue to change. Not a story you can predict. Leaves you wanting more.

Great little book. I can hardly wait for the next one!
As the story rolled on I couldn’t put it down until I knew what happened next.
