Born and raised in the 1960s Black Country, Cooper attended grammar school before going up to Leeds University, where he studied Materials Science and Engineering. Following short stints in different construction-related industries, Cooper settled into teaching mathematics in secondary schools in and around Tunbridge Wells for 20 or so years. With interests ranging from sport to politics, economics and conservation, Cooper’s subject matter can be extensive. He began writing to help broaden minds and encourage the reader to think about topics beyond their traditional boundaries.
He is married and has three daughters.
