This second volume of Raymond Hunt’s Heterogeneous Poems gives us poetic postcards celebrating the many parts of the world he has visited over the decades, from the Andes mountains of South America to the Great Wall of China, alongside evocative snapshots of Raymond’s beloved English countryside.
Once you delve into this delightful assortment of verse, you will be sure to find something to make you smile, or think – or maybe a bit of both.

Raymond Hunt was born in the mining village of Stairfoot, near Barnsley in South Yorkshire. At seven years of age the family moved to Dudley in the West Midlands. His first job when leaving school was as a print room junior draughtsman. He joined the RAF in 1944, was posted overseas to India in 1945 and was demobbed in 1948.

Raymond married his late wife Jean in 1950. He retired at the age of 64, having worked as a mechanical/structural engineering designer. After retirement, he and his wife toured the five continents: South and North America, Asia (including China), Africa and Europe.
