Widely travelled, though, always living in the UK, Julia has her home in Mid-Wales. She watches sheep graze on all sides, whilst hills and skies in ever changing colours, which gives peace and encouragement to sit still and write.
Her former neighbours would recall the years of entertaining them in drama, singing and producing her own pantomimes and plays. She had success in poetry and short story sections of the local Eisteddfod. Most of the time available for penmanship is, however, taken up by writing sermons as a lay-minister. She describes it as a privilege to be entrusted to the writing of addresses for weddings, funerals and special occasions. She also volunteers as a costumed tour guide for the National Trust.
These days, she has found a little more time for putting down children's stories that she describes as flying into her head and onto the page.
