Ferdy is five years old and a centaur. Suzanne attended Buckinghamshire New University in High Wycombe, where part of her degree involved studying creative writing. Suzanne thoroughly enjoyed this side of her degree; the spark was lit and creative writing became a passion. It was only later, after a year working in a traditional toy shop in Perth (Australia), did Suzanne consider writing for children. This is her first published children's book. Suzanne currently lives in New Zealand with her partner and children.
