2020 will always live in infamy. The Covid-19 has kept us and our children from seeing friends and even loved ones. Eleanor the Elephant follows the story of an enthusiastic elementary schooler who is ready to get back in class and see her friends. But she wants to do so safely! Follow along in this family-friendly fable as Eleanor and her fellow classmates learn how to have proper hygiene to keep everyone safe.

Being a lola (Filipino grandmother) and a school nurse, Charlene Fields felt called to write Eleanor the Elephant so that her own grandchildren, and all of their friends, could feel cool and confident as schools started to reopen. This book is a way to teach important health protocol while maintaining the fun aspect of children’s literature. From our family to you, we hope you enjoy the book and learn from it!

Be well,

Charlene.
