Dolores is a beautiful spider who dreams of marrying a handsome prince and becoming a princess. She is captured by Morwenna the witch, who locks her in a cage, and flies on her broomstick to her treehouse in the haunted wood. Also captured are a toad and newt who Morwenna plans to boil in her cauldron to make a spell to drive away the ghosts from the haunted wood. Geraldine studied creative writing as a mature student at Cardiff University and has worked as a tutor for adult literacy on a voluntary basis. She has written a diverse range of genres including, fantasy, plays and poetry, adult and children’s stories, supernatural, romance, comedy, autobiographical stories, as well as a song. In addition, she has won two Christmas story competitions and has had stories in magazines and newspapers. Geraldine now lives in Rhiwbina in Cardiff, and like Percy enjoys visiting Penarth in the summer.
