Little does she know that this particular winter will be one of the harshest in half a century, setting the stage for a series of captivating events.

Follow Ambra’s journey as she faces the challenges and surprises of this severe winter, filled with snow-covered landscapes and frosty air. Discover the heartwarming tales of the farm’s other enchanting animals, as they navigate the wintry elements and come together in unexpected ways.

Born in 1948, Colin was the youngest of two brothers. Having a grandad who had his own farm where he spent most of his childhood, that was where he got his love for animals and the great outdoors. His father was a coal miner, as were all his uncles.

The author left school at the age of fifteen and started work at a local joiners-cum-undertakers. Colin retired from his bespoke furniture, design and making business at the age of sixty-three. He did not start writing until the death of his beloved wife, Lesley.
