Jackie Harding was born and raised in the UK, qualified as a nurse, and sometime later moved to Boston, USA, with her husband and two children. She worked in an elementary school as a teacher’s aide in special education for many years. She now writes about travel and expat life, and lives in the Netherlands with her husband and her cat, Squishy, on a harbour, much like the cat in the story.
