Captain, the harbour cat, is ready to retire but who should take his place?He thinks about asking some local animals but they just don’t seem to be the right choice and Captain doesn’t think he will ever find a solution to his problem.Little does he know that the answer is right in front of him.How will a tiny kitten help Captain as he tries to find his replacement?

Jackie Harding was born and raised in the UK, qualified as a nurse, and sometime later moved to Boston, USA, with her husband and two children. She worked in an elementary school as a teacher’s aide in special education for many years. She now writes about travel and expat life, and lives in the Netherlands with her husband and her cat, Squishy, on a harbour, much like the cat in the story.

The Harbour Cat is a lovely story about a wise old cat. The pictures are bold and colourful which any child will delight in. If you have young children buy this book!
