Born on her grandfather’s farm in Co. Armagh, Betty Dawson was the eldest of six children and attended the local schools before joining the civil service and working in London. After marriage, she lived in England and the Far East before returning to UK. After divorce, Betty worked in local newspapers before taking up the role of a public information officer within the UK and then in the Former Yugoslavia. Now retired and living back in Northern Ireland.
