‘Working at the End of the World: An Antarctic Diary’, Reviewed by a blogger
Online blog, ‘Kate Loves Travel’ reviewed the book ‘Working at The End of The World’ by Con Curtis. She gave it a five-star rating and stated that she absolutely loved the book and found hard to put it down. She said that the book has some very magical heartwarming, funny and tense moments and some very interesting illustrations. She found the author’s writing completely absorbing and said she wants to visit the Antarctic even more now, despite the rough weather condition described. It’s a nice read for adventure lovers.
This book is about a two-man research trip on the monstrous white continent of the Antarctic with insanely harsh weather conditions. The author went to the coldest place on the face of Earth, the remote mountains and glaciers, where nature is raw and climate is ruthless. Author’s sense of humour is the only tool against the miles of isolation and fear of life-endangering situations.
Con Curtis and his fiancée Sarah live in Yorkshire. Upon his return from Antarctica, he started a career in rehabilitating young offenders. He enjoys playing guitars and love to visit hills whenever he gets the chance.
