Verity Craig attended Book Signing at British Bookshops & Stationers
British Bookshops & Stationers, Uckfield hosted a book signing event for ‘Ivf and Infertility, Our Journey: A True Story of One Couple's Struggle against the Odds’. Verity Craig had a great experience and enjoyed being surrounded by people who loved her book.
Men and women think that having a child is only a matter of time and they can have as many whenever they want. But it’s almost ironic what comes so naturally to one, can be a journey to hell and back for some. So many unplanned, unwanted pregnancies happen, it never occurs to you that you will be left yearning for it. Infertility is experienced by one in six couples yet there is almost no literature at all on it. This book is an effort by Verity Craig to offer emotional help and guidance on what to expect while going through IVF treatment. Infertility and its treatment taxes a lot on the emotional and financial capacity of the couple going through it. Testing, treatments, and miscarriages, one after another, is a painful and exhausting process. Yet it is a taboo and even well-meaning friends and family find it hard to talk about it. Thus Verity decided to write about their experience as a couple who went through IVF and infertility, in hope of helping others like her.
Verity Craig is a former journalist, editor, and magazine publisher. Currently, she is running two restaurants whose ownership she shares with her life partner and father to her children, Paul.
