Stefanie Sixsmith Featured by Woman & Home GB Edition
Stefanie Sixsmith has been featured by the Woman & Home November 2021 GB Edition as she shared her fight with breast cancer. Sixsmith’s uplifting autobiography, See the Colour in the Clouds, is an account of Sixsmith’s struggle and experience fighting stage three breast cancer. Sixsmith talks about how she faced uncertainty after being diagnosed with cancer, “Will I get through this and see my girls grow up?” She explained the feeling of despair because no one could answer this question with any certainty.
See the Colour in the Clouds was released six years after Sixsmith was diagnosed with cancer. The book is based on diary excerpts that Sixsmith kept when she was receiving treatment. The book also includes art therapy that helps to depict the feelings and emotions that Sixsmith was feeling during her 18-month long journey with breast cancer. The book is a gift to all cancer survivors who face anguish and uncertainty that can be overwhelming when dealing with cancer.
Stefanie Sixsmith has a degree in Graphic Design and has worked for Virgin Atlantic for 30 years. Inspired by her daughters, Sixsmith created a range of children’s educational products, which she now uses in workshops she conducts in schools across the country. She grew up in Surrey and presently lives in Warwickshire with her husband, teenage daughter and beloved black Labrador.
