The acclaimed author and director Ira David Wood III was nominated for the best mystery book awards by Author Academy Awards 2019 for his book The Russian Galatea. Ira said he was stunned to see his name in the list of finalists for the award in the category of mystery books. He added that he is honoured that his work has been acknowledged and recognized.
The book The Russian Galatea is a historical read revolving around the genocide of Nicholas Romanov’s family by Russian Bolsheviks. The family was taking refuge in the basement when the fire was opened on them leaving everyone dead. A year later the Supreme Commander of the White Army Alexander Kolchak gets appointed as the legal investigator of the murder cane of Romanov’s family. While investigating the place where the family was brutally killed, Alexander finds a faded picture of a nubile lady. He discovers a strong yet unexplained connection with that picture. The author Ira David Wood III lives in North California with his family. He is an award-winning director, actor and playwright. He is currently the Executive Director of the Theater located in Raleigh, North California.
