Rugby Tries and Knock Ons’ Author Interviewed and Published in The Sun
‘The Sun’ publishes Connor Murphy’s interview which revolves around his book as well as his sports journey.
A very old daily newspaper ‘The Sun’ recently interviewed Connor Murphy; the author of ‘Rugby Tries and Knock Ons - Tales of a college rugby player in New England and the game that gave birth to American football’. The article based on the interview was published on 6th December 2020 in the newspaper. The article displays a picture of the author as well as the book cover. The author was interviewed on phone given the Covid-19 reality and later, a photographer from the newspaper’s team took pictures. The article beautifully captures the essence of the whole journey (the actual rugby team experience as well as the writing of the book) by mentioning ‘memories last forever’ as the tag line. The article combines input from the author’s teammate as well.
Connor Murphy is a man of sports. His writing comes from his own lived experience of sports. He has penned down this biography in which he records all the memories of the early days of playing rugby in the college. Apart from sports, he has worked as a teacher and a software developer and is living currently in Rhode Island. He is one amazing writer who engages the reader very well into the story. This book contains accounts of all encounters the author’s team had with other teams playing locally at that time. This book is an interesting, thrilling read and commentary for all the rugby and football lovers out there. Even if you have a less particular interest in rugby and more general interest in sports, you are still going to be fascinated by these sports-ground encounters. It is also a historically informative book since it gives exposure to the various rugby clubs playing at that time.
