Radio Interview of David C. Pike, the author of ‘I Was a London Firefighter’
The voice radio station invited David C. Pike to interview him about his book ‘I Was a London Firefighter’ and his other publications. The show host was also interested in knowing about Austin Macauley Publishers. David sent in the following message:

‘I Was a London Firefighter’ is a memoir with a collection of stories from brave firefighters and all the dangerous situations they face. Although the narratives are loosely based around the personal experiences of individual members of the London Fire Brigade.
David C Pike joined the London Fire Brigade as a sixteen-year-old boy and progressed to higher ranks gradually. He was in charge of Brixton fire brigade station, one of the busiest and most challenging station. David was awarded the Queen's Commendation for Brave Conduct. He retired in 1996 and has written several books about LFB. He currently lives in Devon.
