Rachel Shaw’s book featured by The Star
Rachael Shaw’s book, Something Beyond the Pages, was featured by a local Sheffield online newspaper, The Star. The newspaper interviewed Shaw and published the feature here. The interview included Shaw’s inspiration for the book, which she attributed to her younger sister, “The book praises the good in being different and I wanted to show my sister that she can change the world.” Shaw explains how the main character is based on her sister. She also touched upon the hurdles she faced when writing the book and how she overcame them. The 24-year-old explained why persistence is essential.
Something Beyond the Pages is a young adult fiction novel that follows the main character Adalyn, who is on a journey of a lifetime. She learns of a family event that no one knows about from a mysterious character. What she learns takes her on an adventure that is supernatural and exciting. What she did not realize, is that the truth is right under her nose.
Rachael Shaw is a young author who lives in Sheffield. She is one of four sisters and used writing as a way to relax when faced with personal struggles. Soon she realized it was her calling. Something Beyond the Pages is her first novel, but she is looking to create a spin-off series.
