Dhanmondi Road is a contemporary novel describing the chaotic time after Bangladesh’s war of independence. The main character is Gareth McKinley, an Australian boy, who comes to Bangladesh to work for destitute. However, he soon realizes that working in a post-war environment isn’t that simple. The Australian author, R H Young, currently lives in England with his wife. He is a philanthropist and a university lecturer. This novel is based on his experience of working in Bangladesh during the 1970s.
