The review commends the use of Victorian language and the intriguing plot that draws science fiction readers in. According to the review, the time travel between the different periods provides a compelling storyline that readers will enjoy and appreciate.      

Jack the Ripper? combines the mystery of Victorian crime with the thrills of time travel. Jack the Ripper?  features Inspector Doyle's daughter, who suspects the identity of her father and travels back in time to solve the mystery. Through this journey, she can reconnect with her father, whom she never got to know. Original elements of the Jack the Ripper case and Whitechapel are mentioned in the novel for Victorian crime enthusiasts.

Philip Jones’ previously published works include the play, The Lion Hotel. He lives in Shrewsbury, where Jack the Ripper? is set. He returned to school, receiving his first-class honours degree at the English University of Center at Shrewsbury. He has also studied storytelling and received an MRes from the University of Chester.
