Olive is a story of human endurance spanning four generations from the end of the 19^th century through World War II. Olive is a historical novel which looks at the life of a woman in such times and the devastating impact she had on those whose lives she touched.

Linden Carroll originally from England, migrated to Canada and currently resides in British Columbia spending part of the year in the Cascade Mountain area of Northern Washington, USA.

Her work depicts the experience of British people, who, while living through a time of war still preserved their strength, comradery and dignity.

It is her hope that the writing of the book will serve in some small way to reinforce the importance of remembering those stalwart souls.
