The National Association of Book Entrepreneurs (NABE) has listed Kidnapped, a memoir written by our inspiring author Alice Weil, as the best book in the category of memoir in their Summer 2020 Pinnacle Book Achievement Awards. Each year, for the past 37 years, NABE presents some of the finest books published by their members. 

In 1990, Alice Weil was kidnapped in Colombia. She was held captive in a windowless cell, deprived of any natural light. Kidnapped sketches her experiences with this captivity which lasted for 269 days. She tells the readers about her interactions with her captors; how did she manage to survive the ordeal without hurting herself, losing her composure, or developing Stockholm Syndrome; and what did this whole episode mean for her when she was eventually free.

Alice Weil grew in Colombia and studied in French and German schools. She is half-American and half-German and given her stay in Columbia, and educational background, she is fluent in four languages. She has travelled extensively around the world and lives by Indian spiritual teachings which empower her to serve others.
