The lead character of this book is Lizzy, who is a wedding gown designer, relocated to a smaller town due to financial struggles. Already scuffling lady finds herself entwined into to mysterious events. Although threatened, she cannot reach out to police, instead, she has to rely on her patriarchal landlord. Although he is wealthy and freshly single, and there is this unspoken pull, but Lizzy cannot jump into this relationship. She fears the disclosure of her own secret of past failed relationship. This intense, twisted plot only gets better as you read.
The author Joan Shirley-Davies is a play writer; she has finally found her way to get her first novel published. She has a burning passion for communication and entertainment. Though she loved acting, she was not happy with the type of life. It was not something she had envisioned for herself. So she started to playwriting instead. She currently lives with her actor husband in Shropshire.
