Mabel McCarthy will join the team of ‘Come On In’ with Ceri Stennett at Radio Cardiff 98.7 on Tuesday January 30, 2018, to talk about her romantic novel ‘Something to your Advantage’. The program will go live at 10 a.m.

Be sure to listen in because you will surely get some interesting nuggets from the author about her life, the book she has written, and Virginia Coles; the lead character in her story.

The tale begins when Virginia receives a solicitor’s letter that has the potential to change her life for the better. She immediately thinks that there is some generosity behind the letter and she and her husband will have a better life because of it.

It all comes crumbling down though, when she learns of her husband’s infidelity and has no choice but to leave.

She ends up in London where something unexpected happens, she falls in love with someone and learns that love doesn’t come easily for everyone.

Mabel grew up in time of war and she relied on her imagination a lot, which led her towards art of writing. She wrote short plays, and acted them out, in the beginning which provided respite for her community.

This is her first novel and she has done a masterful job of creating deep characters and exploring mysterious topics of love and romance.
