Louisa by Jacqueline Carpenter featured by the Weekender
Weekender which is all about south London featured the darling historical fiction Louisa by Jacqueline Carpenter. The feature shared that Jacqueline was inspired by war stories her grandmother told her about. The feature also reported that Jacqueline is now writing a ‘part two’ which she hopes would be published in 2020.
Louisa is a fascinating tale of a 15-year-old British girl living a contended and fulfilling life until the Second World War disrupted the peace. It demands quite a lot of resilience to live in a place surrounded by war. It is a well-crafted story on a well-researched subject.
Jacqueline Carpenter is a wife and a mother of two grown-up children. She is currently living in Essex. She frequently visits Spain where she enjoys amazing food and interesting people. She enjoys taking long walks along the beach, chatting and dancing.
