June Fest & Celtic Con invited our inspiring children’s author, Amanda Kehoe to their program, Lockdown Chats # 4, on 19^th of August 2020. It was a live webinar where she dwelt upon her life, her son Tadhg, who has Cerebral Palsy and her book, TJ and his Wheelable Chair, and the purpose behind writing it. She wanted to bring awareness to the general public as well as parents who have children with any form of disability, she said.

TJ and his Wheelable Chair aims to bring awareness about children who are differently-abled. It wants to infuse in children affection, compassion and empathy for those with learning or physical impairments. TJ and his Wheelable Chair is an affectionate story of TJ who has cerebral palsy. He cannot talk or walk and uses a wheelchair as his mobility assistant, but he still manages to interact and play with his friends. Amanda Kehoe is a forty-four years old writer and activist. She was born in Ballinteer, a suburb of Dublin. She is an alumnus of Dublin Business School where she studied Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations. She is also a qualified Montessori Teacher and SNA. However, she gave up her career in marketing and teaching to give her full time and energy to her son, Tadhg. She currently resides in Kildare, Ireland with her husband and three kids.
