Bob Bond spent his early years in Lancaster but later settled in the Sussex coast. Around 60 years ago, he began illustrating soccer stories, for Fleetway Comics in London and for Scottish publishers, DC Thomson. Ever since, he has been sketching footballers for books, magazines and newspapers. He has inscribed and sketched comic-strip histories of numerous bigger English clubs and still draws cartoons for various publications.
