Our very own Kate Spillane was interviewed by Kady Campbell about her new fascinating young adult book, The Worry Stone. Kate Spillane has been writing ever since she was a young girl in grade school. Kate Spillane belongs to London and came to Belfast about 40 years ago. She loves living in Ireland and cannot imagine living elsewhere. She did her MSc in Irish Studies and worked in the Department of Social Anthropology of Queens University. She is fascinated by Celtic mythology. She has always loved to write and started writing when she was very young. It was always her favourite subject, “So I supposed I have been writing bits and pieces all my life.” She is currently running an arts and disability organisation called Open Arts.
