Julie Robinson stops by St. Dennis Primary School
Author of ‘The Mysterious Boy’, Julie Robinson, visited St. Dennis Primary School and participated in different activities with the children.
The kids put forth some questions they had for the author about the writing, illustration, and story of the book.
The author also read from the book and took the time to answer all the questions asked by the pupils.
Her book is about twins Sarah and Mark. They go on holiday and discover a mysterious boy living in the neighborhood. There is also an overgrown garden and a swimming pool that has not been used in a while.
The twins are very excited to meet the boy. He is very hesitant in the beginning; he takes his time telling his name. He is called Edwin Lavin and he is the son of the game-keeper.
What he says next surprises the kids, I didn’t start the fire, he says.
Three kids become friends with each other and have an adventurous time together.
Julie currently lives in Cornwall wither her husband. She used to work for N.H.S. and is retired now.
She has a daughter, 4 grandchildren and a dog named Rosie.
She spends most of her time writing, reading books and painting with watercolors.
