The author of the book ‘Ted Harrison's Rainbow Road’, Jan Stirling, attended her book’s launch event at Victoria Golf Course, Oak Bay. The author presented her book to the audience and talked about her biography.

This book is Jan Stirling's biography of her time spent with Ted Harrison, the celebrated Canadian painter. Despite the age difference, Jan felt a connection between her and Ted.

Jan cherished Ted’s ability to improvise with words and creating poetry, without dreading blunders. She would recommend a subject and then write down what he needed to say. These poems showed that even when his physical strengths withered, he had a very rich mind.

Jan Stirling is an accomplished musician, composer, teacher, and author. She lives in Victoria B.C. and plays as a soloist or in jazz ensemble configurations. 

Ted Harrison was a famous English-Canadain painter who is widely known for his vivid painting of the Yukon. He inspired a lot of students with his enthusiasm and distinct style. His amazing work appeals to people of all ages.
