James Fellows attended a successful book signing event of his book ‘The Story of Jim’
Staffordshire Regiment’s Old Comrades Association invited James for a book signing event at 21st of December which was also FEROZA SHAH day; an old Battle honour of the regiment which was celebrated by the Old Comrades in a time-honoured manner. Outside The Kings Head Pub, in 1705 the regiment was first raised and in 1715 was designated the 38th of Foot. The author shared that by the end of the day they had sold out all the copies of the book they had on hand and could probably have sold a few more if they had brought more copies.
‘The Story of Jim’ is one of many tales of Chelsea pensioners, the old heroic soldiers who after serving the army, merge in the civilian life, and years later surface only to claim their pension. Each year thousands of tourists and visitors of The Royal Hospital Chelsea, wonder about their stories, so the author James Fellow decided to share his story.
The author James Fellow-led a complete and satisfying life. Now at the age of 89 when he looks back, he has no regrets in his life and is one of few contended souls on this planet.
