The Hunts Post offered a rich tribute to the brilliant Melanie Rawson, who recently died fighting cancer. Melanie led a fulfilling life and as a parting wish, directed that all the royalties she would receive from her book, Captain Glitter Beard and the Three Mermaids, after her death be directed to the Mount Edgcumbe Hospice. Melanie Rawson was born on January 15, 1982, in Huntingdon. Melanie had a lively personality, and she was fond of travelling. She toured many parts of the world before settling in Cornwall before the Covid-19 Pandemic. She passed away recently due to cancer.
