Henley Standard Featured The Pink Peacock by Nicolette Carter
Austin Macauley’s incredible author, Nicolette Carter, was featured by the Henley Standard for her book, The Pink Peacock, on 2nd June 2021. Nicolette shared that she had written the story 15 years ago but left it in a folder. Last summer, her 10-year-old daughter, Fran, who was home-schooled due to the lockdown, found the manuscript. The Pink Peacock is the story of a princess named Rose who demands a pink peacock. The princess is obsessed with the colour pink. One day, her pet peacock escapes, and the princess takes on a journey to find the peacock. In her quest to find the peacock, she learns many lessons that show her the beauty of life around her. She discovers new places and also makes a new friend.
Nicolette Carter is a winning artist from BBC One’s Home Is Where the Art Is (series 2).
She has been a professional artist for many years. She has also worked as a Primary school teacher. She lives in Caversham, England, with her daughter Fran and husband James Reed.
