Hartlepool Mail published a review of the fantasy book ‘Yes Son’ written by Garry Baker on 18th May 2021. The author shared his struggle with mental health issues and also spoke about his book. Gary said, “It took a year to write due to my long term mental health problems including depression. I am open about this as I hope it will rid the stigma of it”. Yes Son is the story of a girl named Madeleine whose world turns upside down when her fiancé Jake leaves her when she gets pregnant. Due to this experience, she has a hunger for a luxurious life and makes a plan to rob a bank. After a long series of events, she takes refuge in a church with her brother. Garry baker resides in Hartlepool, Co Durham. He earlier worked as a wage/administration clerk and volunteered for film making and scriptwriting. He also at times wrote without commissions and actually thought that people considered him Walter Mitty.
