Syd Slid is a bedtime storybook written in rhymes for kids with bold, gorgeous, colourful, distinct illustrations. It is the story of Syd, an artistic snail with a dream to leave his mark on the moon by writing his name through his snail trail. His friend Ollie, the owl, aids him along the way in his ventures to accomplish this motive. Together they go through various challenges to work their way up to the moon. The story inspires children to dream and aspire for an aim, working towards it with their friends and achieving it.
Geoff Waterhouse is 81 years old and has a long career in advertising. He has been an illustrator and cartoonist who was published by Readers Digest, the Oldie, and the Punch. He enjoys Kayaking and cycling in his spare hours.
