A book reading ceremony was held for Christine Johnson’s ‘Max, Mouse and the Doll’s House’ at Garners Garden Centre, Newcastle which was attended by a large number of guests. The guests were entertained with refreshments and much more.

This book is about a little kid, Max, who likes to stay at his Nani’s house and loves to play with the doll’s house which his Nani used to play with when she was a kid. Little does he know about it when he goes to sleep and the doll’s house comes to life.

The cellar does lead to the jungle where he meets Charlie, a chimpanzee, who has lost his parents and sister at a chimpanzees’ tea party. Max and Mouse agree to help him to find his family.

On their way they meet Seb, the snake; Ollie, the elephant and Edward, the eagle and together they embark on the journey of finding Charlie’s parents together.

They must stay together on this journey as a jungle can be a scary place.

Will Max find Charlie’s family and will he return home safely? Or is it all just a dream.

The author, Christine Johnson was born in Staffordshire. She attended a Catholic convent and grammar school and graduated in BA Hons in Business Studies.

She has two daughters and two grandchildren. She loves to write for children and this book is one of her collection.
