Our very own author, Shannon Whittall who wrote her first fantasy novel, A Warrior’s Blush got reviewed by Night Reader Reviews, a blog by Melissa Espenschied. The review was published on November 25, 2019, on the website. The review regarded her novel as a good read considering it was her first attempt and gave it an overall rating of 3 out of 4 stars.

A Warrior’s Blush by Shannon Whittall is an action-adventure fantasy story with just a hint of romance. The novel is set in the fictional land of Aneya, with the main protagonist as a strong female character named Lenora. She was wrongfully captured and enslaved when the evil queen Myrna murdered the nation’s beloved king and took over her homeland and the throne of Eradan. It is a story of her struggles, the injustice and her eventual escape from the prison of Golnar.

Shannon Whittal is a young prolific writer who has had a passion for writing since her childhood. She began writing early on as a teenager and has always dreamed of becoming a published author. She has been pursuing a degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice and Law at the University of South Wales for the last three years. Austin Macauley Publishers gave her the platform she was looking for and helped her launch her first book this year.
