Everald Compton Launches His Book, Dinner With the Founding Fathers, in a Successful Launch Event
Our notable and proficient author Everald Compton launched his book, Dinner with the Founding Fathers, in September 2020. It was a successful event with capacity crowd of 125 people which was maximum allowed due to COVID-19 restrictions. There were many influential people among the attendees including Dr Jim Chalmers MP, Shadow Treasurer of Australia; John McVeigh, former LNP MP for Groom in Queensland; Wayne Swan, President of the Australian Labor Party and former Treasurer; Dennis Atkins, Journalist and political editor; and Jane Prentice, former LNP federal minister and former MP for Ryan in Queensland. Only a few Australians are aware of how the six independent British colonies came together as one nation on 1 January 1901. Everald Compton is an 88-year-old history and political writer. The author vividly captures the excitement and drama that enclosed in creating commonwealth of Australia in 1901. He received the centenary medal for his services for the transport and order of Australia for his services for the community. He lives in Brisbane with his wife, Helen.
