Our incredible author Diana Barsham’s book, The Touch of Magdalene, received a wonderful review from The Transforming Ministry Magazine, which is a quarterly publication by the Church of England. The reviewer Alice Burdett praised the book as “The author is a distinguished scholar and also a Reader. In her illuminating preface she warns us that her book, though ostensibly fiction, should not be read as a historical novel, but as a work of scholarship.”

The Touch of Magdalene is about an extraordinary woman named Mary Magdalene. It is believed that she was a companion of Christ and accompanied him on his special mission. But she soon disappears, and nobody knows where she has gone. The story of this Christian superstar is a tale of courage, secrets, and religious devotion.

Diana Barsham is an author and historian who loves to write about spirituality and secularism. She has a good number of published books to her credit, one of which was innovative research about Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. She has been teaching about primaeval cultures and Christianity at the University of New York in London. She has settled down in Provence, which is where The Touch of Magdalene is also set.
