Our talented author Derek Macfarlane held a book signing event for An Introduction to ADMS at Edinburgh at a General Electric’s meet-up of employees. The event was well attended by Derek's former colleagues as well as new members who joined the company after he left. The audience was able to engage and share their feedback regarding the book.      

The book An Introduction to ADMS is about Advanced Distribution Management Systems. These systems control the electricity distribution in real-time. The book explains how these systems have been adapted to meet the current renewable energy resource requirements. In the book, different elements of ADMS have been discussed including, how to get the maximum return on investment in regards to ADMS.

Derek Macfarlane is an electrical engineer with 32 years of extensive experience as an engineer and manager for electricity distribution. He is experienced in working with software engineers to develop the technical elements of ADMS systems includes has also been providing technical advice on the operations of electricity networks.
