Lichfield Arts Fuse Festival was an event full of fun and activities. Little Sprouts Forest School also made its appearance at the festival and happened to arrange a collaborative storytelling session for their students. The storytelling session was led by none other than our amazing author, Denis Popat. With her ever-beautiful storybook, Magnificent Marvellous Minibeasts, Denis managed to create a lot of intrigue and interest among her young audience.

Magnificent Marvellous Minibeasts contains short stories which help introduce children to the animal creatures which are so tiny that they do not attract a lot of attention. Children usually have an eye for the smallest things and Denise Popat has made sure in her book that this behaviour is rewarded and appreciated. The minibeasts that Denise has written about can be found in our gardens, sitting and moving among trees and plants.

Denise Popat lives in Stockport, Cheshire. She has worked in the special education sector as a special needs teacher. Her profession has brought her closer to telling and writing stories for kids. This has become her major pass time after retirement.
