Waterstones hosted a book signing event where David C. Pike signed the copies of his latest published book ‘I Was a London Firefighter’. David appreciated Waterstones for arranging a wonderful event and extended gratitude towards the bookstore, the event which helped in raising a decent amount of money for the Trust. Ron Layland, another fellow retired London firefighter also attended the event.

‘I Was a London Firefighter’ is a book based on real-life events of London Fire Brigade firefighters since the mid 19th century till this day. This book tells the tale of heroic acts of these brave men who worked to keep the London safe.

David C. Pike started his career in London Fire Brigade as a young boy and gradually moved up the ranks due to his dedication. He was awarded with recognitions for his services and managed the busiest station Brixton.
