The Betrayal by Steven Bosworth has been featured in an image shared by Jenny Amphlett’s Twitter account. Jenny shared the image to display the entries received for Arnold Bennett Book prize. The Arnold Bennett Book prize is awarded every year by Arnold Bennett Society which aims to promote the study and appreciation of the life, works and times of Arnold Bennett. The shortlist for the award will be announced soon and the author is hopeful that his book will be shortlisted.
The Betrayal is the story of Dean Nash, who feels that there is an emptiness in his life which needs to be filled. One day, he is invited to a night club where he meets the owner Nick Burns and takes part in a robbery on the instructions of Burns and indulges himself in the world of crime. They come quickly under the government’s scrutiny which is headed by Jon Wagstaff. Nash is scared of Wagstaff but very soon he enters into a journey of self-awareness.
Steven Bosworth is a qualified and accomplished engineering manager who worked for many international firms over the past several years. He wanted to share some of the experiences he encountered throughout his life. Steven got the idea of writing such a book 20 years ago but he started writing it until 2010 and eventually completed it. This is the first book by Steven Bosworth.
