‘Beryl the Beetle’ by Jayne Reed Featured on ‘Dorset Echo’ website

‘Beryl the Beetle’ is the tale of an old abandoned VW Beetle who feels sorry for herself. However, luckily she is discovered by a paint shop-man, Ernie who is a VW specialist. She is rescued and transformed into an enviable beauty. She feels wanted and loved once again.
Jayne Reed and her husband, Richard live in Dorchester. They have two grown-up children. Jayne works as a principal teaching assistant. This is her first book and is written as a tribute to her loving father. The story is based on memories from her childhood and the family-owned classic Volkswagens.
